Zoom Lessons
Our Zoom lessons are fun, creative and challenging. You can still practice the four language skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Date & Time
Lessons are available on weekdays from 10am to 5pm (Japan time), which matches quite well with students in Australia/NZ, around Asia and some US time zones.
Reservation system
Book lessons easily using our online reservation system. Reserve each lesson individually to match your schedule needs and lifestyle.
Plan / Payment
Choose from two payment options. Pay for each lesson individually or buy a 10-pack. All major credit cards are accepted (Google Pay, Apple Pay).
What can I learn in lessons? Who are lessons for?
We provide an environment where you can listen to, speak with and learn from an experienced Japanese teacher, so you can learn anything!
1. Learn expressions needed for traveling to Japan.
2. Prepare for a business trip/meeting by learning greetings, polite expressions and customs.
3. Review what you learned in Japan or start again after a long break.
4. Practice conversational Japanese before your working holiday or English teaching job.
5. Taking the Japanese Language Proficiency Test? Get sound advice and useful practice.
Curriculum/textbooks
We offer lessons tailored to each individual. All lessons can include listening, grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency practice. Students are welcome to explain their own strengths and weaknesses to help in the lesson planning process. We review material to ensure that the content learned last time/previous week is firmly established.
– Vocabulary is learned using quizzes, flashcards, worksheets (etc) and diary-writing
– Practice the four skills: reading, listening, speaking (daily conversations) and writing
– Role plays and reading comprehension are used to consolidate and test your knowledge
– Homework is optional but highly recommended
– Buy and use a recommended textbook (Genki, NHK series, and JLPT texts), or use your own materials
When can I take lessons?
– Lessons are 55 minutes in length. Please be on time for the start of the lesson.
– Zoom codes will be emailed to students after the reservation is made.

How much are lessons? Can I cancel or change the time?
– Students can choose from two payment options, individual lessons or 10-lesson pack.
– Payment for individual lessons must be made prior to the lesson.
– The 10-lesson pack is purchased prior to the 1st lesson.
– Free cancelation is possible up to 24 hours before the lesson starts.
– Lesson time changes are possible up to 6 hours before the lesson starts.
